Do you have a fantastic idea for a project or innovative solution? Does the necessary partnership not know or have the time to write the proposal?
NORTH experts work with a selected number of organizations and start-up companies every year on writing full grant proposals. We support start-ups through writing a series of proposals, often into different funding programs, until they feel comfortable doing the proposal writing on their own. We also support schools, municipal authorities, cultural organizations and companies in writing applications into various funds such as Erasmus+ and Nordplus, Creative Europe and HorizonEurope. For big European proposals which demand specific expertise we co-write with colleagues located in other countries.
NORTH offers:
- Guidance throughout the writing phase – this entails mentoring, guidance and regular feedback, along with writing support.
- Writing of a new proposal – occasionally experts write applications from scratch without much involvement of the client, BUT we believe it is most effective for the client to participate, as actively as possible. Client capacity and time for completion in each case is unique.

Do you have a written proposal and want feedback? Or have you submitted a proposal to the same funding program again and again without success?
Some funding programs have a low success rate, and that does not mean your proposal should not be one of the successful ones!
NORTH offers organizations a thorough review of their proposals – new or previously submitted. This service includes:
- Review of the proposal (and evaluation comments if for an already submitted proposal) returned with feedback.
- NORTH’s feedback includes a short overview of strengths and weaknesses – if there are major weaknesses discovered we will suggest a meeting for discussion.
- Feedback includes suggestions for updating.
- Supporting materials, e.g. templates, suggestions for building up individual sections in a proposal.
Price: The estimated time for each review is 4 hours, with a rate of 19,800 ISK per hour plus VAT. If we anticipate needing additional time for feedback or revisions, we will reach out to you before proceeding.

NORTH's experts are well-versed in a wide range of funding programs, including those for cultural, educational, innovation, and research projects. They are ready to assist you in identifying opportunities to bring your project or new solution to life, as well as in developing a grant strategy for the next 3-5 years.
The Grant Opportunity Mapping and Strategy service includes:
- Completion of a project ideas template by the client.
- A 60-minute follow-up meeting to review and refine the ideas, define their scope, and explore potential funding options for each.
- Identification of suitable funding sources and development of a grant strategy for each idea.
- Recommendation of a strategy for writing grant applications.
The client receives a short overview of funding opportunities for each idea as well as deadlines and writing strategies for each.
