Life Worth Living – Leadership Series

Life Worth Living Leadership Training approaches company culture and management from the perspective of the most valuable resource of any organization: human capital. There are no quick fixes when it comes to transforming company culture, and a manager must be a leader in this process. If you want to be a leader of strong connections and transformations, it’s time to approach things in a completely new way – a way that gives you the opportunity to transform both your own life and the culture of your company/organization at the same time. In the Life Worth Living leadership training, participants will, through targeted exercises, develop skills essential for management and building a strong culture:

  • Self-awareness – the ability to identify, articulate, and shape values, interests, skills, strengths, knowledge, and experiences that are relevant to personal growth and professional success.
  • Deep listening – a skill that allows us to connect, empathize, and hear others’ voices. It involves being present, noticing fears, practicing active listening, and observation. Critical thinking – the ability to interpret, assess, and analyze facts and information to form opinions or make decisions.
  • Critical thinking – the ability to interpret, assess, and analyze facts and information to form opinions or make decisions.
  • Reflection – the ability to create, deepen, critically evaluate, and document learning.
  • Communication skills and management across differences – the ability to apply active listening, ensure everyone’s participation, show empathy, etc., which are essential for building professional and personal relationships.
  • A deeper appreciation of how cultural norms and assumptions affect communication and relationships – appreciation is a leadership skill that not all leaders possess but is a skill that actively supports relationship-building and culture-building.
  • Creating a deeper sense of alignment within the team/company/organization – the ability to ensure that everyone understands the purpose, process, and benefits of changes/projects, etc.

Life Worth Living leadership thinking is based on a methodology originally developed at Yale University and called “Life Worth Living.” (See more here: https://lifeworthliving.yale.edu/) Through this approach, participants work with some of the deepest questions of human existence, such as “What does a flourishing life look like?”
