In Lewis Carroll's famous fairy tale, Alice in Wonderland, Alice chases a rabbit down a hole where she encounters all kinds of creatures in a land she calls Wonderland. The cat asks Alice where she is going. She replies that she doesn't know, but asks:

This is strategic planning in a nutshell. A good strategy provides us with a sense of direction and outlines measurable goals. Strategic planning is a tool that is useful for guiding day-to-day decisions and also for evaluating progress and changing approaches when moving forward. A strategy describes how a particular entity (company, institution, division, municipality) intends to create additional value for their customers, users, residents, and owners.
Strategy planning calls for the formation of a common vision of the future for the next 5-10 years, definition of role (purpose), shaping values for the operation, defining and prioritizing projects/tasks and deciding on procedures – how do we work together? Strategy planning also often calls for a new formation of the work culture.

We are all shaped by culture. How we navigate the world, including the workplace, affects both ourselves and those we interact with, whether they are colleagues, family, or friends. Workplace culture, defined by the shared practices and methods of getting things done in a social environment, is created and sustained by the people within it. It reflects the common values and commitments of the team. Since culture is essentially man-made, we all have a role in shaping, maintaining, and, when necessary, changing it. A positive workplace culture fosters a sense of purpose, value, and shared commitment among individuals.
Our approach centers on the individual as a vital component of a well-functioning team. We use a framework called the "Leadership Compass," based on the book "The Four-Fold Way" published in 1993. The Compass helps explore different work styles as tools for self-reflection and leadership development. It features four directions—Warrior (North), Healer (South), Teacher (West), and Visionary (East)—each with its strengths and potential weaknesses. Participants learn to grow in each direction and harness the gifts associated with them. The Leadership Compass encourages deeper understanding of oneself and one's team. Depending on the workshop or course length, we incorporate engaging and enjoyable team-building exercises.
Before starting, we meet with your planning team to discuss your needs and establish the goals and expected outcomes of the presentation, workshop, or course on culture.
